A tragic incident unfolded at the Great Wolf Lodge water park in Pennsylvania, where a mother allegedly murdered her three-year-old son and husband before attempting suicide. The disturbing event has been described by authorities as an “isolated domestic tragedy.”

On Monday afternoon, officers received a call from 27-year-old Metallica Rose Harrison, who reported being in distress and expressed a desire to end her life. When police arrived at the lodge, they discovered the bodies of her husband, Charles Harrison, and their young son in their hotel room.

Both victims suffered fatal stab wounds, prompting the police to immediately treat the case as a double homicide. Upon their arrival, officers noted that Harrison appeared to have injuries herself.

According to police statements, Harrison informed the dispatcher, “My husband and son are already gone in the bed in the living room,” and directed them to the location of the bodies. She has since been charged with two counts of homicide.

Authorities have emphasized that this tragic event poses no ongoing threat to the community. “Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to the family and loved ones affected by this tragedy,” police stated.

The Great Wolf Lodge, a popular destination for families, expressed its sorrow over the incident. “We are deeply saddened and heartbroken by this tragic domestic incident,” a spokesperson said, confirming their cooperation with law enforcement during the investigation.

Harrison is currently being held without bail as she awaits further proceedings, and it remains unclear whether she has secured legal representation.
