Tragedy struck the wrestling community as Benjamin Satterley, known as Pac, passed away at the age of 40. The Cook County medical examiner confirmed that he died of bronchial asthma, with his death ruled as a natural occurrence.

Satterley was discovered on September 27 in Des Plaines, Illinois, just one day after he performed at All Elite Wrestling’s “All Out” pay-per-view event in the nearby Chicago area. His sudden passing sent shockwaves through the wrestling world, eliciting heartfelt tributes from fans and fellow wrestlers alike.

His cause of death was first reported by the New York Post. Satterley was found approximately two miles north of Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport, where he had been living.

Originally hailing from Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Satterley made a name for himself in the British independent wrestling circuit before moving on to compete in Japan and the United States. Known for his high-flying style and hard-hitting techniques, he became a significant figure in the wrestling industry.

He also wrestled under the name Adrian Neville in WWE and captivated audiences in promotions like New Japan Pro-Wrestling and Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre. At AEW, he was famously dubbed “The Bastard,” known for his intense promos and electrifying in-ring performances.

His untimely death highlighted not only his legacy as an athlete but also his character as a person. Many remembered Satterley as a kind-hearted individual who valued his family and friends deeply. In a tribute during AEW’s weekly show, his family expressed gratitude for the outpouring of love and remembrance, stating he was “an honorable man with principles” who adored his loved ones.

Following the news of his death, fellow wrestler Marina Shafir reflected on his modesty and influence, stating, “I wouldn’t be here today if I didn’t share time and space with this man.” His wife, Natalie, took to Instagram to honor him, sharing her deep sense of loss while promising to cherish the memories they created together.
