Tragedy struck at Six Flags Over Georgia on Monday, resulting in one fatality and multiple injuries. Witnesses reported a shocking incident in which a man fell from the Goliath roller coaster, prompting an immediate response from emergency services.

The Cobb County Department of Emergency Communications confirmed the death, although they did not release detailed information about the circumstances surrounding the incident. According to police, the Major Crimes Unit is conducting an investigation into the matter.

Witnesses shared their harrowing accounts with local news outlets, describing how they saw the man plummet from the ride. Some reported that he struck various parts of the coaster before hitting the ground. “He fell and hit the car three different times,” one witness recounted.

Logan Conner, who was on the ride with his fiancé, recalled the moment vividly, stating, “The man started levitating in the air sideways. We made direct eye contact with him.” Another witness mentioned that the man was seated with a child during the ride, and blood was found on their vehicle afterward.

In response to the incident, a spokesperson for Six Flags expressed their deep sorrow, offering condolences to the victim’s family and friends while also ensuring support for other guests and staff affected by the tragedy. They indicated that further details would be withheld to respect the family’s privacy.

This unfortunate event occurred just outside Atlanta, approximately ten miles from downtown, and has left the community in shock as they grapple with the implications of such a tragic day at a popular amusement park.
