In a haunting reminder of unresolved tragedy, the family of Danny Moser continues to grapple with the aftermath of his brutal murder, which occurred 25 years ago outside a roller rink in Mills, Wyoming. Found barely alive on October 20, 2001, at the age of 27, Danny succumbed to his injuries just two days later, leaving behind a legacy of questions that remain unanswered.

Lauren Moser, Danny’s daughter, was only four when he died. Now, as a young adult, she reflects on her father’s absence and the impact it has had on her life. “You are just like your dad,” she often hears from those who knew him, a testament to his enduring memory but also a painful reminder of the father-daughter bond that was never fully realized.

On that fateful night, a Mills police officer discovered Danny lying in a pool of blood, suffering from severe injuries including blunt force trauma. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, he was unable to survive the attack. The Natrona County coroner later classified his death as a homicide, yet the circumstances surrounding his last hours remain shrouded in mystery.

Witnesses reported Danny had been involved in altercations earlier that night at local bars, but the events leading to his demise are still unclear. “Why would he even be in that situation?” his sister, Jamie Haigler, recalls the confusion that followed. Investigators have pursued leads over the years, yet the case remains cold, with no definitive answers to the family’s pressing questions.

The Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation took over the case in 2013, and while they believe multiple individuals were involved in Danny’s death, the investigation has yet to yield any breakthroughs. “We just cannot get any help or any answers,” Lauren lamented, expressing her determination to keep her father’s story alive and relevant.

As she studies criminal justice and aspires to open a private investigation business, Lauren’s pursuit of justice for her father serves as a personal mission. “If I don’t keep it relevant, it goes right under the rug,” she states, emphasizing the importance of keeping the dialogue open about her father’s unsolved murder.

With each passing year, the pain of loss lingers, not just for Lauren but for the entire Moser family. Jamie reflects on their close bond and the void left by Danny’s murder. “I would like to see some justice for Danny,” she said, hoping that the truth will eventually come to light.

The Moser family is united in their quest for accountability, determined to ensure that Danny’s memory lives on despite the shadows of uncertainty surrounding his death. As the investigation continues, they hold onto hope that one day, they will find the answers they have long sought.
