A troubling aviation accident occurred in Florida on Sunday, as a Learjet 60, which was en route to the Bahamas, crashed with nine individuals on board. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reported the incident took place around 12:50 p.m. near Cresthaven, Florida, shortly after the flight departed from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas.

Details regarding injuries remain unclear, with no immediate reports on the conditions of the passengers or whether there were any injuries on the ground. The investigation is being conducted by both the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the crash site, and has closed all northbound and southbound lanes along Military Trail until further notice. Authorities are expected to provide updates as more information becomes available.
