In a heartfelt video shared on social media, actress Selma Blair has publicly apologized following her recent arrest related to an alleged incident on a Delta Airlines flight. The 54-year-old star expressed remorse for disappointing those affected by her behavior, stating, “To the people that I disappointed, that I hurt, that I frightened, alarmed, I am so sorry.”

Blair, known for her role in “Cruel Intentions,” took to Instagram on Friday to address her followers, explaining that while her attorneys had advised against discussing the matter, she felt it was important to communicate her feelings. She assured fans that she is taking the situation seriously.

During the video, she acknowledged her silence since the incident on October 11, saying, “I know I’ve been quiet for a couple weeks since October 11th, and you deserve to hear from me directly. And I’m sorry that it’s taken this long.”

Reports indicate that Blair became “physically abusive” aboard the flight from Los Angeles to New York City, resulting in her removal from the plane. Authorities reported injuries to two flight attendants, with one requiring hospitalization. She now faces two counts of second-degree assault, accused of kicking a police officer and a nurse during the aftermath of the incident. Blair has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

In her video, she defended her character, emphasizing that she has never intended to harm anyone. “What I can tell you, though, is very simple, and the truest thing I know about myself, and that not one day ever have I intended to hurt or frighten anyone a day in my life,” she stated.

Blair expressed gratitude to those who supported her during this challenging time, mentioning her son and service dog, Scout, who are her primary focus. She also revealed that her behavior during the incident was linked to a medical emergency, citing her ongoing struggle with multiple sclerosis, a condition she was diagnosed with in 2018.

Her attorney noted in court that Blair’s actions were influenced by missed medication doses and a fall that occurred during the flight, arguing that the incident was not intentional. The case has been postponed until January 19, allowing time for further developments.
