Nicole Taylor, a beloved member of the country music group Taylor Red, has sadly passed away at the age of 35. The news was shared by her sisters and fellow bandmates, Nika and Natalie Taylor, through a heartfelt post on social media on Monday.
Diagnosed with breast cancer four years ago, Nicole’s health had deteriorated, ultimately progressing to stage 4. Her sisters expressed their shock and grief, stating, “We are shocked and heartbroken to announce the passing of our sister.” They took comfort in knowing she was no longer suffering.
Originating from Mississippi, the identical triplets began their musical journey in 2010 under the name Red Roots, later rebranding to Taylor Red in 2018. They gained significant popularity on social media after their single “Country Money” went viral in 2021. Tragically, just a year later, Nicole received the devastating diagnosis of stage 3 breast cancer.
In a poignant video shared by her sisters, they recounted the moment they learned of her condition, recalling the shock that enveloped them upon hearing the news. “I remember just breaking down in utter shock,” Natalie said.
Despite the challenges posed by her illness, Nicole remained a source of strength and inspiration. Nika Taylor reflected on the struggles of dealing with cancer, sharing the emotional toll it takes on both patients and their families. “If you know anybody with cancer, there’s so many MRIs, scans, treatments, appointments that you have to go through, and it’s very stressful,” she noted.
Nicole Taylor passed away on September 28, and her family held a private funeral service. In their final moments together, her sisters conveyed that Nicole found peace before her passing, which they deeply appreciated. “Nicole told us soon before she passed that she had peace, and we are really thankful for that,” Natalie shared.
